Once you arrive at the Pena Palace, cross the monumental Moorish-style door and you shall be outside the palace gift shop. To enter the palace, go right to pass through another monument door, the so-called Monumental Gateway, and then through a tunnel. Please note that when getting to the end of the tunnel, a palace staff member might ask you for your ticket entrance and visit time slot. If you are quite early, you have to wait. If you are on time, please follow the staff’s instructions. You shall pass through the main door of a yellow building and will see King Ferdinand’s bust and a pair of staircases. Those stairs lead to the Cloister (official no. 112).
