Loggia
The Venetian Square
This clubhouse for the nobility was built around 1600 with a square ground plan on the eastern side of the later Venetian square. Originally it had open arches on three sides on the ground floor but now these are enclosed. Together with the former three churches and the four new mosques, the city had eight stately mosques in the 17th century. In the loggia, where the archaeological museum was located from 1954 until 1991, high-quality copies of ancient artifacts are now available for purchase. The decor consists of wood and capitals.
