In the garden are bronze statues of the British writers Lawrence and Gerald Durrell. They honour the brothers’ love for Corfu, which could be seen in their books, especially Gerald Durrell's My Family and Other Animals. In 2016, the municipality dedicated the garden to the Durrell family.
