Over the years, the Jewish communities built a number of synagogues in Campiello and today’s Jewish district, with names like Poulieza, Vecchia and Greca. The Romianote Jews built the synagogue at 4 Velissariou St (where you are now) in the late 19th century. Known as Nuova, it is the only surviving synagogue in Corfu.
