Ahead on our right we see what looks like a fairytale castle. This is the Casa de les Punxes, or "House of Spikes". Built in 1905, Bartomeu Terradas Brutau commissioned architect Josep Puig i Cadafalch to design a home for his three sisters, funded by the inheritance left to him by their father. If you look up, you might catch a glimpse of a ceramic panel depicting Saint George slaying a dragon with the phrase – ‘Patron Saint of Catalonia, give us back our freedom’.
