Wealth
A city upon a hill
This was a prosperous place and it shows, even now that everything lies in ruins. The Cassiopaeans controlled fertile lands in the plains you can see from here, as well as the productive lagoons of the Ambracian Gulf and the wealth of the forests in the mountains all around us. Their city was adorned with elegant public buildings. Being used to the central location of the agora back home, I find it strange that the Cassiopaeans would place their in the corner of their city. But what do I know about urban planning? The prytaneion (seat of government) across the green and the two stoas that enclosed the agora from the west and the north stood among a forest of statues and altars.
