The great theater
There are nine stairs that divide the seating area into ten sections, while the broad diazoma (the passage in the auditorium dividing the lower from the upper rows of seats) facilitated the movement of spectators. There is another passage on the top of the upper row of seats and the view from up there is unforgettable. You can see practically the entire city and the open sea with the islands once ruled by cunning Odysseus. I suppose the Cassiopaeans used this spectacular theater both for dramatic performances and music contests. People from all over the coastal towns and the settlements in the plains below must have walked uphill for hours to get here whenever a play was taught.
